As an OTC Assistant, you’ll be a key part of our team, responsible for delivering professional and confidential customer care while supporting the safe sale of medicines. You’ll work closely with Pharmacists and the wider store team to ensure customers receive the best possible advice and support.

What you'll be doing

• Support the dispensing process and day-to-day store operations

• Maintain stock levels and ensure date-checking is completed accurately

• Assist with store merchandising and promotional displays

• Provide informed and confident advice on the appropriate use of OTC and complementary medicines

• Work with the Pharmacist to support and educate other staff on the safe use of medicines

• Handle till operations and transactions accurately and efficiently

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers

• Communicate effectively with a wide range of people including patients and health professionals

About you

• Experience in community pharmacy is a strong advantage, but not essential

• A confident communicator with a genuine passion for customer care

• Ability to work well under pressure in a busy retail environment

• A commitment to delivering high-quality service

• Trustworthy, professional and aware of the importance of confidentiality

• Reliable and flexible – availability to work evenings and weekends is essential
